On Wednesday 8th November, we had 45 students attend a rugby enrichment session with Deago Bailey, a professional rugby player who grew up locally and now plays for Bristol Bears (pictured above). We were so delighted to see our students learning from him and can’t wait to see the fruits of their efforts at the GLT Rugby tournament on Friday 10th. We’ve also had representatives from Bristol Bears Women’s teams coaching some of our Year 8 girls’ rugby players every week since half-term and running an after-school rugby enrichment for girls on Wednesday. And Y7 and Y9 girls have had coaching from Gloucestershire cricket club during their PE lessons as well. Lots going on!
